Sebastian Maniscalco has had a good year--just don’t tell him that; he doesn’t want to jinx it. In the past 12 months, he has performed over 100 stand-up gigs, has released his fourth comedy special for Showtime, welcomed his first daughter, has gone on a few nice trips with his wife and bought a Vespa. That last one may not compare to Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche collection, but soon enough Maniscalco may get there.
After all, for the first time ever, the comedian made FORBES’ list of the world’s highest-paid comedians with earnings of $15 million between June 2016 and June 2017. “I know things are good, but I’d hate to make the Forbes list this year and be off it next year,” he says slowly, as if cautiously navigating his newfound fortune. “And it’s a little uncomfortable to have that information out; I’m a private guy.”
