“Jeopardy!” has found yet another seemingly unstoppable champion, Italian American doctoral student and Ohio native Matt Amodio. On Friday, Amodio, a Ph.D. student in computer science at Yale, won his 28th consecutive game, pushing his winnings past the $1 million mark.
He is only the third contestant to reach the seven-figure milestone, after Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer, the ace contestant who captured the nation with his winning streak in 2019. Amodio, at Yale, researches artificial intelligence and said he’s been watching the gameshow since he was a toddler, The New York Times reports.
