Since 2015, Dr. Eric Adler has been an Associate Professor at University of Maryland's Department of Classics. Prior to joining the faculty at University of Maryland in 2013, Dr. Adler taught at Rice University, the University of Minnesota and at Connecticut College, where he served as chair of the Classics Department, Dr. Adler holds a Ph.D. in Classical Studies from Duke University, an M.A. in Classics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a B.A. in Classical Languages and Theater from Connecticut College. His research focuses on Roman historiography, the history of classical scholarship, Latin prose, and the history of the humanities.

Following Dr. Adler's presentation, there will be a brief Q&A session.
