Frozen-food and ice-cream company Sammontana Italia is launching its iconic Barattolino ice cream in the United States. This marks a significant step in the company’s international growth strategy, which recently included the acquisition of La Rocca Creative Cakes in the US.
The strategy also leverages the long-standing presence of the Bindi brand in the US, which Sammontana Italia acquired through its partnership with Investindustrial and the Forno d’Asolo group. Barattolino, a well-known Italian-style ice-cream format, will initially be distributed in July through 11 Eataly USA stores, thanks to a partnership facilitated by Investindustrial – a shareholder of both Sammontana Italia and Eataly USA.
