Stanley is Back! Fans of Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy, rejoice! Stanley and his popular Italian food series returns! CNN premiers the second season of Stanley’s show on Sunday, May 1, at 9:00 PM (ET). While the first season featured Stanley’s travels through six regions, CNN has released only four for this season. Alas, my beloved Abruzzo is no longer on the schedule. So, where is he going?
Stanley’s first stop this season is in Veneto. Home to Venice, the once powerful maritime empire, Veneto has always been one of the most popular landing points for immigrants. Because of that, its cuisine shows influences of a variety of nations. Seafood is king on the coast, of course, but the region’s plains and mountains also influence the cuisine.
