Stanley Tucci is heading back to Italy after Nat Geo renewed his docuseries Tucci In Italy for a second season. The series, which premiered last month, has been picked up for another five episodes. In the first season, Tucci explored regions including Tuscany, Lombardy, Abruzzo, Trentino-Alto Adige and Lazio. In the second season he will venture for the first time to Le Marche, while revisiting Sicily, Veneto, Campania and Sardinia.
He will meet local chefs, historians, farmers, winemakers, and artisans to uncover the lesser-known culinary rituals that define each region. Tucci is evidently game for an unusual meal, having eaten tripe, lard and salad served in a vase in Season 1. Last month, Tucci In Italy won at the Critics Choice Real TV Awards for Best Limited Series
