The eventful first two months of 2016 for Lady Gaga continued on Sunday with her performance of The Star-Spangled Banner before Super Bowl 50 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. The six-time Grammy Award winner sang the anthem just under the time of 2:20 set by oddsmakers in one of Sunday's more memorable Super Bowl prop bets. However, some books are measuring it differently, meaning a few are paying the over. Here's why.
In addition to signing the national anthem on Sunday, Lady Gaga in 2016 won a Golden Globe Award for best performance by an actress in a miniseries or television film for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. This year she is also nominated for another Grammy, for best song written for visual media, and for an Academy Award for best song, both for Til It Happens To You from the documentary film The Hunting Ground.
