The city of Treviso, in the region of Veneto, is often overshadowed by nearby Venice, yet, it holds a distinct charm and elegance that makes it a worthwhile destination. It is known for its elegant canals, historic buildings, and status as the heart of the Prosecco-producing region, as well as for its celebrated culinary tradition.

Originally a Roman settlement known as Tarvisium, it became a prosperous trading hub due to its strategic location along the Sile and Cagnan rivers. Over the centuries, Treviso came under various rulers, including the Lombards, the Venetian Republic, and later the Austrians, each of whom left a clear mark on its architecture and culture.
