Bistro Italia will have you saying 'ciao' to Italian food done right

Tucked away in a strip mall on Coursey Boulevard is Bistro Italia, an intimate, casual dining spot with gems on the menu that will have you kissing your fingers like an Italian chef. We started off with a trio of appetizers: the fried mozzarella ($8), garlic knots ($8) and fried ravioli ($7). The knots — and there were a lot of them — were loaded with Italian seasoning and cheese and paired well with the accompanying red sauce.

Both the mozzarella and ravioli were fried with a hearty breading and were favorites in our party. The ravioli was the star though. Bursting with ricotta, these little pockets of goodness put a fresh spin on fried cheese.
