Ciao from Rome, welcome to the #106 magazine of We the Italians! It’s August, Italy usually almost entirely stops its activities in this month, but We the Italians doesn’t! We never cease loving and promoting our country.
Joe Quagliano and a few other friends from the Italian American Baseball Foundation just visited Italy for a series of meetings and baseball clinics. Together with our friend Marco Landi, Head of Marketing and Communication at Federazione Italiana Baseball Softball, we’ve had the great honor to meet them here in Rome. There’s many things IABF and We the Italians can do together, and we’re committed to start to work soon on them. This is an excellent example of how sport has been and can be instrumental in reuniting the Italian American community, which is something cited as a priority by every Italian American leader we’ve met all over the country. So stay tuned.
We want to put the spotlight on the interview you will find in this issue with Dr. Barbara Wolanin, the world's leading expert on the works of Constantino Brumidi, the Michelangelo of the Capitol. Brumidi is the most important among the Italian artists who participated in the beautification of the United States of America. Every Italian American should know his history and visit his works in Washington, DC.
Once again, we encourage you to take a look at the 2017 Yearbook of We the Italians. It's selling very well, plenty of people interested in knowing the stories we told last year. So thanks, and please keep buying that, here!
Please, join us in our social media presence: Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube!
That’s all for now. So stay tuned, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. The future’s so bright, we gotta wear shades!
