If you happen to be born into the Zoppé family, your fate is sealed. Since 1842 -- when a French street clown and a Hungarian equestrienne ballerina ran off to Venice, married and started a circus dynasty -- six generations of Zoppés have carried forward the tradition of a one-ring, old-world styled show dedicated to the celebration of life, love and family.

The Zoppé Italian Family Circus is returning to the Napa Valley with new acts and a new show titled "Ricominciare" or "fresh start." Five performances take place under the big top Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2 and 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., and 2 and 5 p.m. on the Carnival field at Napa Valley Expo.
