Every Saturday night, all summer, Italian Films with English subtitles will be screened outdoors in San Diego Little Italy's Amici Park amphitheater ( Date and State streets).
The first film, on June 18th , is the award winning film "Madre Mia" directed by Nanni Moretti. Two of the remaining films are dedicated to Ettore Scola, the great Italian director who passed away in January. The Italian prime minister, Matteo Renzi, paid tribute to Scola, saying he was a "master" of the screen "with an ability that was as incredible as it was razor-sharp in reading Italy, its society and the changes it went through".
