The Italian Society at Berkeley is delighted to announce that renowned Bay Area actress, Maria Grazia Affinito, will be showcasing her award-winning one-woman show, Eating Pasta Off the Floor, on September 19, 2016 in B-4 Dwinelle Hall at 8PM and leading a workshop the following day
Eating Pasta Off the Floor is the story of Maria and her mother. Maria hopes a trip to her mom's hometown in Italy will shed some light on their volatile relationship. Maybe singing arias at at full voice in the supermarket and offering to sell your daughter are just quaint Old World traditions? But even old friends in Italy are astonished when mom starts flinging pasta and bad poetry.
The event is FREE and organized in collaboration with Mark Kaiser of the Berkeley Language Center and Annamaria Bellezza of the Department of Italian Studies at UC Berkeley.
