Ridgefield Park resident and comedian Maryann "Boom Boom" Maisano is highlighting her experiences growing up in a traditional Italian-American family with her show "The Italian Chicks." Although she is originally from Fort Lee, Maisano has lived in Ridgefield Park since 2001.

From an early age she knew she wanted to be onstage and spent many years performing as a singer. However, after years of playing at weddings and with various bands, she decided she needed more. Maisano was able to take her natural ability to connect with the audience and her many stories from her childhood as a way to begin a career in comedy.
