The Italian Bowl makes its return to the University of Toledo’s Glass Bowl on June 28, following the success of the 2023 championship game held in the Glass City. On July 1, 2023, the Italian Bowl XLII took place at the Glass Bowl as the first Italian Bowl played outside of Europe. Tens of thousands of fans participated in the advance and game-day festivities in Toledo while many more streamed the game both in the United States and Italy.

There are currently 12 teams in the Italian Football League vying for their chance to compete in the title game. The IFL is broken up into two groups, with the top three teams from each group qualifying for the playoffs at season’s end the weekend of May 24 and 25.
