The Columbus Italian Club held its annual bocce tournament at its headquarters in Grandview Heights on Aug. 19. The annual tournament has been conducted since the courts were built 26 years ago.
Bocce was an ancient Roman sport that dates back to pre-B.C. era and is still popular within the Italian culture. The summer tournament included 110 players on 22 teams.
