Dallara and Purdue University started their engines on an innovative partnership at Indianapolis 500 race weekend. The Dallara IndyCar Factory will serve as the new home for Purdue’s motorsports engineering program and pairs Purdue’s unique motorsports engineering program — the only undergraduate, ABET-accredited such program in the country — and Dallara, the largest multinational Italian race car manufacturer, inside Dallara’s U.S. headquarters, located just one mile from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
We were honored to be part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony because we love telling the Dallara story: a story of Italian passion, talent, tenacity and continual enthusiasm. Dallara was founded in 1972 by Giampaolo Dallara in Varano de’ Melegari.
Over five decades, Dallara has designed, built and supported some of the world’s most competitive race cars and whoever you are cheering on today at the Detroit GrandPrix, there is a 100% that Dallara provided their chassis’ (as they are the exclusive provider since 2008 of all #Indy teams)!
