The Cardinal Bartolucci Foundation Choir will travel from the Vatican to the Windy City this week for four Chicago-area performances. The choirmaster at the Sistine Chapel for almost 50 years, Cardinal Domenico Bartolucci oversaw the music for the sacred liturgies conducted by generations of popes.
The choir established in his name now disseminates and promotes knowledge of the most celebrated composers of religious music from the Renaissance to present day. Following is their schedule of performances in Chicago. The first concert is at 7 p.m. on April 20 at the Des Plaines Theater.
