The Department of Music of Wayne State University, with the enthusiastic support of the Italian Program and the Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies, is proud to present a fascinating historical and musical event to commemorate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 7:30 to 9:00 PM in the Wayne State University Schaver Music Recital Hall located in the Old Main Building, at 480 W. Hancock, between Cass and Second Ave, Detroit.

Dr. Carolyn Helton, soprano, and Dr. Kathryn Goodson, piano, will perform Songs from a Lost World of Italian Jewish Composers. With the collaboration of musicologist Aloma Bardi, who is responsible for uncovering and collecting musical scores of art songs by masterful composers who were prominent in their time, soprano Helton and pianist Goodson are presenting tonight more discovered scores of Italian Jewish Composers, some of which from unpublished manuscripts.
