Most diehard MLS fans are able to hop in their car or take public transportation to a game, tailgating beforehand or even sitting in the supporters’ section. But a member of the Colorado Rapids faithful doesn’t have that luxury, as Italy resident Lino De Rosa is an ocean away. He has been getting up in the wee hours of Italian mornings to watch his beloved team since 2012.
Those who are regulars at DICK's Sporting Good Park are dead-set on changing that, though, and are looking to get De Rosa out to his first Colorado home match. A GoFundMe account has set a $2,000 goal to help with De Rosa’s travel expenses such as airfare, transportation, lodging and food. You can donate here, if you’re so inclined.
