Current Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo, after previously expressing interest in playing for the Italian national team in the 2025 EuroBasket, now will have a chance to live out his dream. Monday afternoon, the Wolves guard was granted official Italian citizenship, making him eligible to play for the Italian team in national competitions.
In an interview with Basket News back in April, he explained his desire to represent Italy in EuroBasket and was waiting for everything to be processed. "Chances of being in EuroBasket? I think they're really good, we're all on the same page. For me, it would be great to represent Italy. Now we just have to wait for the documents to arrive."
