
The Community Italian-American Organization of the Berkshires hosted its annual Soccer Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Thursday, welcoming in the Class of 2025, while recognizing 21 local high school standouts with scholarships. The newest Hall of Famers included Bob Berube, Rex Green, John Haddad, Tony DeMartino, Brian Farley, Mark Girard, Kate Simonelli Hastings, Jared Dodge, Matt Begrowicz, Nick Masiero, Allie Supranowicz and Maddie Sprague.
Committee Chairmen Al Belanger and Patrick West introduced inductees and scholarship winners at the event. Scholarships were awarded to one player from each of Berkshire County's 21 high school soccer teams, chosen by coaches. The nomination committee included, in addition to Belanger and West, Chris Dumas and Richard Asher.
