La Terza Classe, a bluegrass band from Naples, Italy, named for third-class passengers on the Titanic, will perform at Lake St. George Brewing Company, 4 Marshall Shore Road, Liberty, on Sunday, September 29, at 4 p.m. There is no charge. Formed in Naples in 2012, La Terza Classe started out playing traditional and original American folk songs on the streets of cities throughout Europe.
Influenced by jug bands, Dixieland and bluegrass, they played four years in a row at Music City Roots in Nashville and performed twice at Bluegrass Underground and recently at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. La Terza Classe created a documentary, “Flat Tyre — An American Music Dream,” about their first trip to the U.S.
