Red Sox right-hander Chris Mazza has made one appearance since arriving in Boston for the 2020 season. It came on August 1st when he pitched 2.2 shutout innings against the Yankees in a 5-2 win by New York.
The irony of Mazza making his Red Sox debut against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium wasn’t lost on the 30-year-old reliever, who is a cousin of Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio and former Boston center fielder Dom DiMaggio.
