The Lutheran Episcopal Ministry at MIT presents The Cherry Street Singers in: "Scherzi Musicali". Madrigals and songs by Claudio Monteverdi - Saturday, November 14th at 8pm in the MIT Chapel (48 Mass. Ave, Cambridge)

This group of madrigal enthusiasts is excited to present a passionate rendition of 1 to 6 part madrigals from the great Claudio Monteverdi's Books of Madrigals (libri IV to VIII). Playing with "chiaroscuro" and with the exciting acoustics of the MIT Chapel, this daring ensemble will explore the colorful palet of sounds and emotions that the 17th century italian Maestro of the Seconda Pratica, left for us to bring to life.
