American news outlets are reporting that New York Red Bulls are willing to put up big money for the Italian international. Reports over the last few days have linked the player with a move to MLS, but the Red Bulls have shown the most interest.

The striker has spoken about the interest stating that he would prefer to continue with Fiorentina, or be loaned to another European club before returning to his hometown. La Viola mentioned in early July that they believe the player has improved during his loan in Spain and wish to keep him at the club.
