In the Season Three finale of “The Sopranos,” Uncle Junior shows off his pipes. At Jackie Jr.’s funeral, the typically stoic character stands up in an Italian restaurant and passionately belts the classic Neopolitan song “Core ‘ngrato,” which translates to “Ungrateful Heart.”
Now, 24 years after that seminal episode aired (and 26 after a two-month run at an NYC cabaret), the actor Dominic Chianese will take center stage once again. On Monday, June 30, the 94-year-old, Bronx-born thespian is scheduled to headline at New York City’s Town Hall for a one-night-only concert-event where he’ll regale the crowd with “hilarious stories and heartwarming memories.”
