
Kairos Italy Theater and KIT Italia announce The Winner of the 2018 Mario Fratti Award for Excellence in Italian Playwriting goes to The City Rises (La citta' che sale) by Chiara Boscaro & Marco Di Stefano. The co-winners will receive a translation of their work into English as part of the MFA Collection and a reading at the Italian Institute that will close the 2018 In Scena! Italian Theater Festival, Closing Night, May 21, 2018 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Manhattan at 6PM.
The City Rises is a mosaic of interconnected stories about a changing city, Milan, and its inhabitants--victims and perpetrators that include a mayor, a construction worker, an old trade unionist, a young barista, and a Tunisian girl.
