Thanks to the Italian-American Club of Greater Greenville, a sport whose ancestry dates back to games of the Roman Empire is now offered to the local public.
A pair of bocce ball courts have been installed at Simpsonville City Park. While they've been in place for a few months, the unofficial opening of the courts took place May 30 when the club held a bocce tournament there.
