Baylor women's golfer Laura Lonardi was named recipient of the 2016 Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award on Friday, as announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.
The award is given annually by the WGCA to the Women's Golf Division I student-athlete who is an upper classman and both a WGCA All-American Scholar and a WGCA All-American. Lonardi is the 25th honoree since the award was first given in 1989, and she's the third award winner representing the Big 12 Conference, joining Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin (2005) and Emma Zackrisson (2002).
