The new tour of Italian Gesture Ambassador Luca Vullo will begin on April 7 and conclude on April 11 in Florida. Through one-man shows, workshops, and cultural entertainment talks, Vullo will visit the Universities of Boca Raton and Orlando, completing the tour in Miami with events at the Italian Cultural Institute and Italian classes at the International Study Preparatory Academy.
The first event will take place on Monday, April 7, at 7:00 PM at FAU Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, with the English-language event "Luca Vullo and the Language of Italian Gestures," aimed at students and members of the Italian and Italian-American community.
The second stop on April 9 will bring him to Orlando as a guest at UCF University of Central Florida, with the English-language show "The Body’s Voice: Luca Vullo Shares Italy’s Silent Language," which will be presented at 7:00 PM at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando.
Thanks to professors Ilaria Serra, Professor of Italian and Comparative Studies at FAU, Chiara Mazzucchelli, PhD Associate Professor, and Neil Euliano, Chair in Italian Studies at UCF, the tour will continue in Miami with the involvement of the Italian Cultural Institute.
On April 10 at 6:30 PM, at the Institute, Luca Vullo will meet the public of Miami with the event "The Art of Italian Gestures."
Vullo is internationally recognized as the "Ambassador of Italian Gestures" for his collaboration with over 70 prestigious universities, presenting his Masterclasses on the subject and taking the show "The Voice of the Body" on tour, in which his mother Angela also participated. This includes his collaboration with Florida, where he will appear as an author, film director, producer, showman, non-verbal communication expert, and trainer.
During the event, he will discuss his latest audiovisual project promoting Italy abroad through sports, created for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, titled “ComunichiAMO lo sport italiano,” as well as his numerous successful documentaries and docuseries (INFLUX distributed on Netflix worldwide and RED ZONES aired on Sky Italia), considering that the Miami Film Festival will be taking place at the same time.
The final event will take place on April 11 with a workshop on Italian gestures for the Italian classes at ISPA (International Study Preparatory Academy), thanks to instructor Elisa Oliviero, Italian Literature & AP Instructor.
