In November, as Seattle temperatures dip and the ever-present rains return, there is another harbinger that marks the coming of fall: Cinema Italian Style. The popular Italian film festival, now in its 16th season, was held from November 7-14 this year. During its eight-day run, 15 films were showcased, featuring some of the best of contemporary Italian cinema.
“This year we are bringing so many terrific films to Seattle audiences,” said Beth Barrett, SIFF artistic director. “There’s Italy’s official 2025 Oscar submission Vermiglio and the film There’s Still Tomorrow which was Italy’s biggest box office success in 2023. We’ll be featuring a new 4K restoration of Antonioni’s Il Grido and welcoming director Simone Bozzelli with his debut film Patagonia. And so much more! We’re always excited to partner with Seattle’s Italian community to bring these incredible films to film-loving audiences.”
