The Ente Friuli nel Mondo is a non-profit private association established in Udine on June 20th, 1953, and it has considered as regional site by the Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Ente independently promotes connections between emigrant citizens from Friuli, Italy, and around the world. It operates both through own activities and the contest of the participant associations, generally named Fogolâr Furlan or Famee Furlane.

Thanks to its 155 active partnerships, 6 of which in the United States, and to 23.000 members of any age and from any countries, the organization has an amazing relationship-wise patrimony and intends to be a tool of international view of the Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, through a series of agreements of collaborations with regional, national and international institutions.

The Ente takes care of the editorial staff of its own magazine, Friuli nel Mondo, spread by subscription around the world, after 62 years of publication it maintains an updated website (www.friulinelmondo.com) and a Facebook profile (www.facebook.com/ente.friulinelmondo).

Moreover, the Ente publishes the Annuario dei Fogolârs Furlans nel mondo (http://www.friulinelmondo.com/ANNUARIO_2013.pdf), a pocket-sized booklet with digital version containing the updated references of all existent partnerships. The organization has also technological devices for videoconferences, installed in the other three foreign locations in Toronto (Canada), Cordoba (Argentina), and Santa Maria (Brazil), in order to establish, with the aim of modern technologies, closer and immediate relationships with the fellow citizens abroad. The final objective is to reconvert the entire archive and editorial production in a digital format that simplifies the digitalization and online publication of the entire collection of the periodical magazine on the website, from the first number of November 1952. This first publication of 1952 contains a soundtrack anthology of 250 radio broadcasts realized for thirty years in collaboration with RAI, and a catalog of pictures of thousand images from every part of the world. Among these pictures are included the BLECS- Pillole di friulano, the first video-guide of conversation in Friulana language, the BLECS – Clips of Friulian, in the Friulano/English version, and the BLECS – Perlas de Friulano, in the Friulano/Spanish, available online on the website www.friulinelmondo.com and on You Tube www.youtube.it/canaleblecs.

In 2013 and 2014 the association attended to a considerable expansion, above all in the U.S., due to the urgent request of partnership by many Friulan citizens recently moved abroad because of professional reasons. The network, already present in New York, Miami and Washington, is also in Los Angeles for the Fogolârs Furlans, and in South West-connecting Friulan citizens in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma and Northern California.

This partnership has been promoted in Sunnyvale by fourteen engineers from Udine and Pordenone. The creation of an American network of professionals and Friulan "minds" has been appreciated by the Ambassador of the U.S. in Italy, Mr. John R. Phillips because of the characteristic that make the protagonists of the new mobility dialoging and comparing themselves with the Italian and regional system. The Ambassador Phillips proudly remarked his own Friulan origins, speaking in the meeting held in the Roman residence of Villa Taverna. Continuing his speech, Mr. Phillips encouraged the President Pietro Pittaro to persistently follow the objective to create new occasions of economic and cultural interchange to promote the "System of Friuli" in The U.S.
