In these very days, a new video about Italy has been published by the Italian Minister for Economic Development. It is called "Italy the Extraordinary Commonplace", and it makes us very proud of being Italians: it shows Italy beyond the stereotypes.
Pizza makers? Latin Lovers? Party addicts? Eternal children? Food enthusiasts? Gesticulators? Dolce vita lovers? Football maniacs? For each of these stereotypes there's an answer that shows how Italy is much more than that. We have had the authorization to show it to you, and we are sure that you all will appreciate it as much as we have done. Please, send us your feedback about it. You can watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaXqHU32bm4
We the Italians is evolving and growing. We are looking for people who would be happy to collaborate with us, all over the United States. People who already are involved in the Italian American Community, who understand the importance of being in touch with Italy in an actual and productive way, and know how much important internet is and will more and more be to represent and promote Italy in the US, whether you are an Italian American, or an Italian born in Italy and just recently emigrated to the US. If you are interested, please contact us at info@wetheitalians.com.
With this number of our online magazine, the collaboration with the John Carroll University and two of their students in Italy for a semester, Anna and Matthew, comes to an end. We have been very glad to have them with us in the column called "Studying (in) Italy", and their articles have been read and appreciated by hundreds of our readers. We thank them and their professors, Santa Casciani, Serena Scaiola and Luigi Ferri, committed teachers and good friends to us, for their dedication and their support!
That's all for now. So stay tuned, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. The future's so bright, we gotta wear shades!
