Ciao from Rome! Welcome to the 66th issue of our online magazine, which is back after a tiny break, while our website www.wetheitalians.com never stopped publishing news regarding Italy in/and the USA, or simply interesting facts about our beloved country. We've almost reached 25,000 likes on our Facebook page, please like us and tell your friends to do the same, here https://www.facebook.com/WeTheItalians

I've spent my holidays between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, and on my way back to Rome I've visited a beautiful and important place, the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial. This sacred place is where 4,398 American soldiers rest in peace: they gave their life to free Italy. It is smaller than the Anzio American cemetery, but it has a particular importance for me, because my father was saved by the 5th army and he was from the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna: so, those who saved him and lost their lives are very likely buried in this cemetery. I paid my respect, on behalf of my family and me and also on behalf of We the Italians, to those brave Americans soldiers - and many of them were Italian Americans - who we will never forget, and to whom we will never cease to be thankful. May they rest in peace.

We are working on a very important renewal of our website. The results will be seen in Autumn, but we're very excited because the phase 2 of We the Italians promises to be incredible! New contents, a new design, new services, a new governance and new people entering our family: we're growing good and fast.

We encourage you to take a look at our campaign with UVET, the number one Italian Tour Operator: we're offering you 8 different Italian beautiful experiences. Each one of them will bring you to Milan for a one day visit of Expo 2015, and then you will have eight different way of enjoying Italy. Take a look at http://www.madeinuvet.com/wetheitalians.cfm: you can choose between "The Great Beauty", "Healthy Time", "History Walk in Tuscany", "Chocolate Emotions", "Mediterranean Glamour", "Shooting in Val d'Orcia", "The Motor Valley" and "The pearls of Como Lake". Keep on browsing, the first Italians to take this very affordable offers are already coming to Italy!

Waiting for your next real travel with us, in our 66th issue of this magazine we will drive you around Italy with our articles, wandering through different Italian regions. This time we'll start from the land and nature of Saturnia and its terme in Tuscany; we then will learn about the handcrafted papier-mâché industry in Lecce, Puglia and then we'll go to Lazio for the wonderful tradition of "La Macchina di Santa Rosa" in Viterbo. We stay in Lazio to visit the art of the incredible Farnese Palace in Caprarola, and then we wander through the culture and history of Italy through its film sets. In Abruzzo we will taste the Pecorino wine, and after that we head north to Emilia Romagna to visit the "Little Italy" of Brisighella; and then to Milan, Lombardy for another exciting content regarding Expo 2015. Back to Abruzzo for the flavors of the Aprutino Pescarese oil, and then again we head north to see the gardens of Miramare Castle, Grignano in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Torino, Piedmont is where our Great Italian of the past Rita Levi Montalcini was born; while Varese, Lombardy is where another Italian was born, Luigi Montalbetti, the protagonist of our IT and US article. Our last stop is in Rome, Lazio, where all roads lead to (and ours makes no exception!), to learn 4 reasons why to spend a gap year in the eternal city while studying in Italy.

That's just a tiny preview of all you will find in this issue of We the Italians magazine!

Before to say goodbye, let me remind you the awesome opportunity given by the partnership between John Cabot University and We The Italians: two brand new Italian-American Heritage Scholarship.
