Ciao from Rome! Welcome to the 68th issue of our online magazine. "Italian Emotions, the Directors' Dream" is a new wonderful video published by Italia.it and ENIT. Have you ever dreamed of being in the perfect place for emotions? This video describes a few Italian locations where some scenes from very famous and successful American movies have been shot. It will help you recognize Italian places you've been and/or dreamed of, remembering how beautiful Italy is. You can check it out here.
From this month, We the Italians started a partnership with Ciao Tutti, a wonderful monthly magazine about the Italian American community edited by Edward Bevilacqua in Las Vegas and distributed in several different States of the country. Ed's got a big heart, he loves the Italian American community, this partnership will help both of us to join as many Italian Americans as we can.
On Friday, September 11 I attended, on behalf of the We the Italians community, to the ceremony of commemoration held here in Rome for the 14th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. I must confess that September 11 is always very moving for me. Rest in Peace all those who died that day, We the Italian will never forget.
As always, we recommend you to take a look at our campaign with UVET, the number one Italian Tour Operator: we're offering you 8 different Italian beautiful experiences. Waiting for your next real travel with us, in our 68th issue of this magazine we will drive you around Italy with our articles, wandering through different Italian regions. This time we'll start from the land and nature of Cortina in Veneto; we then will taste the flavors of San Marzano Tomato from Campania and then we'll go to Umbria where Donato Bramante, the star of the Italian art of this issue, was born. We move to Brindisi and Taranto in Puglia where Flavia Pennetta and Roberta Vinci, the two Italian tennis players who played the recent US Open final, come from; and we remain in Puglia for the culture and history of the Sanctuary of Padre Pio. In Piedmont we read about the tradition of the Palio di Asti, and after that we savour the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo wine. Mantua, Lombardy is the home of the Italian cuisine of the Sbrisolona cake, and from there we go to Calabria to visit Gerace, the Italian "Little Italy" of this issue. Back north for the handcrafts of the woodwork of Trentino, we then move back to Umbria for the Garden of Aquatic Plants of Isola Polvese. Vigevano, Lombardy is our next stop: that's where our Great Italian of the past, Eleonora Duse, was born. Then we end our trip in Rome, Lazio to know about the 4 ancient Roman sites to visit while studying in Italy and then in Milan, Lombardy for Expo 2015.
That's just a tiny preview of all you will find in this issue of We the Italians magazine!
Before to say goodbye, let me remind you the awesome opportunity given by the partnership between John Cabot University and We The Italians: two brand new Italian-American Heritage Scholarship.
