On the occasion of Italian-American Heritage Month, the historian & writer Lawrence DiStasi will discuss his new book, Branded: How Italian Immigrants Became ‘Enemies’ During WWII, with emphasis on the label “potentially dangerous.” The government term, though it formally applied only to those interned and excluded, actually was operational for all 600,000 Italian enemy aliens who were restricted.
