Members of the Corona D'Italia Lodge No. 807 have been celebrating their Italian heritage for decades, but this year in particular is cause for jubilation as the lodge marks its 100th anniversary.
The lodge was founded in 1917 by brothers John and Eugene Statti along with Demeterio Parascenzo, all member of the Sons of Italy Lodge who believed there should also be a social club for Italian women. The "History of Ellwood City 1892 to 1942" says "The Corona D'Italia is interested in the social well being of the Italian colony in Ellwood City."
