Lynn Sons of Italy coloring contest produces big turnout

The Santa Famiglia Mixed Lodge #2834 of Lynn recently held its annual School Coloring and Drawing Contest to commemorate the voyages of Christopher Columbus. This chapter of the Sons of Italy began in 1917 and its 45 members meet monthly at Holy Family Church in Lynn.
The organization has been sponsoring this contest for eight years, and member Peter Frangipane was pleased with the participation from the youngsters of Lynn. "The teachers truly embrace this contest and I am happy to report that there were close to 800 entries this year," he said.
