The Progressive Women’s Association will hold its Italian-American Women of Distinction awards luncheon at noon Oct. 27 at the Uptown Event Center. The luncheon is held in observance of Italian Culture Month. Ten local women from Harrison County will be honored.

Marie Prezioso will be the keynote speaker for the event. She is an Italian-American who was born and raised in Marion County. She will be speaking to the honorees and those attending the dinner about her heritage and how it has influenced her life.
