The Sons of Italy is pleased to support the FamilySearch.org and National Archives of Italy project to create a searchable index of more than 115 million digitized Italian civil record images. The Italian Ancestors project will result in the largest FREE online searchable index of Italian civil records available to everyone.
The Italian Ancestors project needs tens of thousands of online volunteers to achieve this incredible objective, and Sons of Italy members and supporters are encouraged to join in. Volunteering does not require a time commitment or the ability to understand Italian. If you are interested in volunteering, please read information about the project and how to get started.
