Terry Guerriero does what generations of Italians in Ashtabula have been doing for 100 years — he joins his paisans at the Sons of Italy. Sons of Italy Lodge No. 1169, a group of descendants of Italian immigrants, is celebrating its 100 year anniversary next month.
"We enjoy the camaraderie and we help the Italian Americans in the community," said Guerriero, an Ashtabula resident and past president who is the current recording secretary. "Many of us have been coming here since we were kids. We would eat chips, drink soft drinks and play the bowling machine while the old-timers played cards."
