Every year, the Bellaire Sons of Italy feeds hundreds of hungry veterans via a spaghetti dinner. Roughly 354-to-400 of them, according to president Doug Hartlieb. The event began at 3 o'clock and continues through 7 p.m.
“The veterans come in, we feed them and their family, and we like to make everything good for them because of what they've done for us,” Hartlieb said. “We like to honor them." --And in Martins Ferry, the city is busy preparing for its annual Veterans Day Parade, set for Saturday afternoon.
