It’s the aromas of the Mediterranean, the taste of homemade pasta, and the love of her Italian heritage, that has led Martha Napoli to share her passion with a circle of people in her community. Circolo Italiano, a new Italian conversation group, meets on the last Saturday of each month, via Zoom, at 11 a.m., and is hosted by the Bigelow Free Public Library in Clinton, where Napoli is a children’s librarian associate and a resident of the town.
Napoli will talk about Italian culture, food, festivals, films and the language. Participants are encouraged to an open discussion with articles, travel stories, books, and poems to get the conversation started. “I just love my Italian heritage — my dad is Italian and my mom is from Spain. I have these two backgrounds that makes me who I am… and I am grateful to my parents for that,” Napoli said.
