The Norwalk Sons and Daughters of Italy Pietro Micca Lodge No. 744 will mark a major milestone Saturday with a dinner, dance, scholarship awards and pride in its history.
“With pride, we mark 100 years in Norwalk where we have been an integral part of the community and contributed to it,” wrote Pietro Micca Lodge President Marie Iannazzi in an invitation to the anniversary celebration. “We revere our heritage and hope to leave this special legacy to our children and grandchildren.” The anniversary is scheduled for 7 p.m., Saturday, April 22, at The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s at 2748 Boston Post Road in Darien. As of Friday, the event was sold out with 100 people already having reserved seats, according to Iannazzi.
