St. Mary’s Church is gearing up to host its 39th annual Summer Food & Craft Festival, celebrating the season with local fare, music and lots of family fun. The festival, which is free, will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. July 14 and 15 on the church grounds, 212 Elizabeth St. Parking is free and handicapped parking is available behind the church rectory. Last year’s festival drew more than 3,500 people and raised about $25,000 for church improvements, according to festival advertising chairman John Coscia.
This year’s food lineup includes returning favorites: DiGiovanni Cafe & Catering featuring fried calamari, clams on the half shell, suffritto and pizza; the Hotchkiss Hose Fire Department cooking up hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, BBQ chicken dinners, French fries and soda; and Rita’s serving a variety of its famous Italian ice.
