Maria Giura is the author of What My Father Taught Me, (Bordighera Press), which was recently named a finalist for the Paterson Book Prize. Her second book, a memoir, is forthcoming from Apprentice House. She has won awards from the Academy of American Poets, the Paterson Literary Review, and Salem College’s Center for Women Writers. Giura has taught at St. John’s University, Montclair State, and Binghamton University where she received her PhD. www.mariagiura.com
