Italian American Writers Association Literary Reading (www.iawa.net). Since 1991, IAWA has given voice to writers through its literary series every second Saturday of the month. IAWA East is held even months at Sidewalk Café and IAWA West continues at Cornelia Street Café on odd months.

WHO: Suzanne Petito-Egielski will read from her debut novel, Nelson's Castle: A Bronte Fairy Tale (Amuninni Press, 2013), based on stories about her grandmother's hometown. Her second novel, Miss Iceland of 1955, will be published in 2015. She is a former language teacher and genealogical researcher. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Petito-Egielski received a B.A. from CUNY's Queens College and a Master's degree in French Literature from New York University. She is at work on her third novel, The Dowry: A Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi Fairy Tale.
