Lea Noring of Acworth, Ga., had a destination in mind for her first trip to New York, and it was not one of those crowded places like Times Square or the Empire State Building that the locals disdain as tourist traps.

"I always thought that when I got to New York, the first thing I'd do was go to Rizzoli," she said.
