
Garden City resident Janice Paradiso Cenzoprano will be honored by the New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Order Sons ofItaly in America at their "Twenty-Third Anniversary Winter Charity Ball". Ms. Cenzoprano will be awarded the "Special Recognition Award" for her volunteer work with the Cooley's Anemia Foundation.
The gala affair will be held on Friday, January 29, at the Chateau Briand in Carle Place, at 7:30 PM. Cooley's anemia is a rare blood disease, also known as thalassemia. People with Cooley's anemia rely on frequent blood transfusions and daily medications to live.
